Electronic Cooling Pure Copper Heat Pipe
A lot of heat will be generated when the CPU is working. If the heat is not dissipated in time, the computer may crash and even the CPU to burn. The CPU radiator plays a decisive role in the stable operation of the CPU.
Winland Metal customizes half-hard oxygen-free pure copper (C1020) heat pipes with 3-10mm O.D. for the electronic cooling industries. Our electronic pure copper heat pipes are widely used in the following industries:
Mobile Phone Hheat Pipe
At present, the diameter of heat pipes used in the mobile phone market is 2mm-5mm, and the thickness after flattening is ≤ 0.6mm. The thermal conductive silicone grease is used to reduce the contact thermal resistance.
In addition, the heat pipe and the heat pipe module are phase-transformed to conduct heat, and the heat transfer is fast.
Laptop Heat Pipe
Compared with desktop computers, notebook computers are smaller in size and have higher requirements for heat dissipation.
Therefore, its cooling system is quite special.
PC Heat Pipe
Integrated circuits are used extensively in computer components. High temperature will not only cause the system to run erratically, shorten the service life, and may even cause some components to burn out.
CPUs, graphics cards, motherboard chipsets, hard drives, chassis, power supplies, and even optical drives and memory all require radiators. These different radiators cannot be mixed, and the most used one is the CPU radiator.

Why Use Heat Pipes?
Heat pipe technology was invented in the 1960s. This heat transfer element called "heat pipe" makes full use of the principle of heat conduction and the rapid heat transfer properties of phase change media, and quickly transfers the heat of the heating object to the outside of the heat source through the heat pipe. Its thermal conductivity exceeds that of any known metal.
Compared with many old-fashioned radiators or heat exchange products and systems, heat pipe radiators using pure copper heat pipe technology have significant improvements, and are divided into two categories: natural cooling and forced air cooling.
The thermal resistance value of the air-cooled heat pipe radiator can be made smaller, and it is often used in high-power power supplies.
The thermal resistance of the radiator is determined by the thermal conductivity of the material and the effective area in the volume. Under the condition of natural convection cooling, the performance of the heat pipe radiator can be improved by more than ten times compared with the solid radiator.
Copper has excellent thermal conductivity and heat dissipation properties. Typical copper heat pipes are made of oxygen-free copper and phosphorus-deoxidized copper. Oxygen-free copper has higher thermal conductivity, while phosphorus-deoxidized copper has good welding performance.

Requirements of Copper Pipes for Heat Pipes
Generally speaking, copper pipes for heat pipes mainly have the following requirements:
- Thermal conductivity
- Once the material selection is determined, the thermal conductivity is also determined.
- Mechanical properties
- Generally, the forming of the heat pipe must go through the bending process. When bending, the copper heat pipe can neither be bent or cracked nor wrinkled. Therefore, the heat pipe is required to have a certain strength and appropriate ductility (toughness)
- Burst temperature
- For the safe and reliable operation of the heat pipe, the ability of the copper pipe to withstand slightly higher than its operating temperature is reliability. The blasting temperature of the heat pipe for PC should be greater than 300℃.
The heat pipes supplied by Winland Metal are based on good casting conditions to ensure that there are no metallurgical defects such as shrinkage, cracks, pores and inclusions inside the tube blank. Our copper heat pipes pay special attention to the state control of the strength and elongation of copper pipes during processing.
