ASTM B280 ACR Copper Tube

Standard Specification for Seamless Copper Tube for Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Field Service

ASTM B280 establishes the requirements for seamless copper tube intended for sue in the connection, repaires, or alternations of air conditioning or refrigeration units in the field.

The copper fittings used for soldered or brazed connections in air conditioning and refrigeration systems are described in ASME B16.22.

ASTM B280 copper tube shall be produced from C10200, C12000 or C12200, and the copper tube manufacturer has the option to supply any one of them.

Normally Winland supply ASTM B280 copper tubes of C12200 UNS designation, which contains copper + silver at 99.9% of weight, and contains phosphorus at 0.015~0.040% of weight.
